Course description - craniosacral part 1:

During these five weekends you will learn the foundations for evaluation and treatment of the craniosacral system, as well as a broad range of techniques for connective tissues, membranes, joints, osseous, sutures and fluids such as:

  • The craniosacral systems anatomy and physiology
  • Gentle techniques for palping subtle rythmic physiological movements
  • The craniosacral rythm and how to meet it in the craniosacral system as well as throughout the body
  • Biomechanic approach to the craniosacral system
  • Techniques for evaluation and treatment of the whole body fascia as well as the membrane system of the central nervous system (dura mater, pia mater and arachnoid membrane)
  • Techniques for the soft tissues of the spine and gentle mobilization of the spinal articulations, as well as the sacroiliac joint
  • Techniques for cranial sutures and the intra-cranial membrane system
  • Techniques for the periostium membranes
  • We also cover different theories of how the body creates tension patterns due to trauma and how such tensions can be released from the tissues of the body
  • Techniques for locating and releasing tensiones in Brain Stem and Spinal Cord.

As the course proceeds, you will receive tasks and essay questions to be completed before the final exam after completing part – 2.

Course description - craniosacral part 2:

Part 2 will be available in 20/21.

The focus of these five weekends is to improve the interactions between the craniosacral system and other systems of the body, primarily focusing on the spinal and cranial nerves. You will learn how to improve the connection from the central to peripheral nervous systems by improving the flow of the cerebrospinal fluid. And the other way around, by freeing up tensions within and around peripheral and cranial nerves, the function of the central nervous system can be improved.

We will also look at the biodynamic approach to craniosacral work.

  • Techniques for cerebrospinal fluid and the ventricles of the brain
  • Techniques for releasing spinal nerves
  • Techniques for releasing cranial nerves

As the course proceeds, you will receive tasks and essay questions to be completed before the final exam after completing part – 2.
